How To Calculate your Potential Market

Is your MILLION DOLLAR IDEA worth a million dollars? Use this standard formula to calculate your potential market.

Conventional wisdom in calculating Market Share now usually involves portraying the total market for a product and service in terms of demographics and total potential revenues, and letting the investor draw their own conclusions about the percentage for penetration.   1. Research any available statistics and demographics.
  2. Project possible volume in total units.
  3. Convert numbers of units into sales revenues by factoring retail price.
