#9 Forget 'Lose Weight.' Make Money!

Resolution #9 - Forget 'Lose Weight,' MAKE MONEY!

An Excerpt from THE MOMMY MANIFESTO

I get so many messages to lose weight everyday everywhere I turn, I can’t take it anymore. Just say  “no” to them in your head, and  “no” to them with your wallet.

I have a diet and exercise program for you; it’s called work your butt off to get rich.

What is important is exercise,

because it gives me energy, self-confidence, and the peace of mind that comes from flooding my brain with endorphins on a daily basis. The minute exercise becomes just one more chore you have to do to fulfill some Hollywood expectation of the way you’re supposed to look, or to make you feel guilty for not doing, it’s not helping you. After all, people who have the perfect bodies that you’re aspiring to have make a living developing and maintaining those perfect bodies. It’s their full-time job to be thin. Most of them probably spend three hours a day in the gym with professional trainers, consulting with a nutritionist and eating well-balanced meals a professional chef cooks for them.

Put that energy instead into activities that make you money and don’t spend one minute feeling guilty about it! Confidence is the most attractive thing any woman can put on, and that comes with accepting your body as it is.
