How To Kick Start Your eMarketing Plan in 2009
It is January 2009 the beginning of a brand New Year, which signifies new beginnings, prosperous opportunities, spanking new agenda books and, thanks to Kim Lavine and her team, the launch of Mommy Millionaire Magazine. This year, I am especially excited about the wealth of extraordinary resources, innovative tools, and proven strategies that in collaboration can give anyone’s 2009 eMarketing Plan a good kick-start.
The top 3 questions that usually arise surrounding the term eMarketing Plan include:
1. What exactly is an eMarketing plan?
2. How much time and money will it take to implement an eMarketing Plan?
3. What results can I expect once I execute my eMarketing plan?
In an effort to quickly address each of these top questions, an eMarketing plan is a formulated action plan designed to market your business online. The time and cost associated with the implementation of each plan varies significantly. For example, it is possible for a new, home based business to create and implement their plan with little or no money. In the end, the results will be a direct outcome of your actions and commitment to your plan.
The key components that make up an eMarketing plan can include anything that assists with promoting your products and/or services over the Internet. It can be search engine optimization, email marketing, banner advertising, search engine marketing, and more. By engaging in the appropriate Internet Marketing activities for your business you will be able to communicate directly, and at a low cost, with your niche market.
Social Media Marketing as it applies to Internet Marketing includes Social Media Optimization and ultimately these marketing efforts will encourage people (hopefully your niche market) to promote you and your company on their own accord across various social media channels. Social Media Optimization is basically the systems you implement to generate publicity for you and your business through social media. It’s all about optimizing your website, blog site, and profiles across multiple social media channels so you can be found for specific search terms, you make it easy for people to link to you, and very easy for people to share your content. Some of the essential tools include RSS feeds, Social Bookmarking, Tagging, audio and video syndication and sharing. An easy (and free) way to engage in Social Network Marketing is to create a Facebook Page for your business, service and/or event.
Keep in mind that the main goal of your eMarketing Plan is to “Connect your Business with your Target Audience”. Typically, your target audience or the end user of your content will be on the other end at their computer, all alone. So the stronger, and more tailored your message is the easier it will be for them to relate and engage with your business.
It’s really about being kind, respectful, commenting and thanking people, and sharing extremely useful information. In closing, I would like to share some really great tools and resources that may assist you at some point in your online marketing journey.
